The driveway project is about to start!
The long-awaited driveway replacement project is about to start. This is a significant investment in the club by Auckland Council, for which we are truly grateful and thankful.
Work will commence by 4 February, with removal of trees along the tennis court boundaries.
Once the project has started, the driveway and front entrance to the clubhouse will be fenced off completely for the duration of the project. The only access into the clubhouse and squash courts will be through the sliding doors off the main deck. We will try to keep these doors open as much as possible, so that keys are not required.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-April, so this restricted access will affect everyone for several weeks.
The church next to us has agreed to make available its spare land as a temporary carpark for us, but only so many cars will be able to park here, so please use the street parking around us – or even bike/walk to the club while the sun is shining.
We will use Facebook to keep everyone informed of progress and of any special communications as needed.
All Tennis Northern senior interclub rounds have or are about to restart. Good luck to the teams leading their ladders.
Our junior interclub coaching has started again from Monday 28 January, 4pm – team managers should have contacted all members regarding training times. We are still waiting for final draws for term 1 and all managers will be contacted by Louise/Michelle/Geoff once known.
Our Saturday junior coaching programme starts again on 2 February at 9.00am and will run until the end of March.
The semi-finals and final of the Adams Mixed Doubles tournament will be played on Sunday 10 February from 2 pm.
Our Wednesday Mixed Doubles Tennis from 9-11 am has also served back into life in 2019. Come on down for a social hit of tennis before the day gets too hot!
There has been lots of activity on the squash courts in January as everyone starts to get their bodies back into being “squash-fit”.
If you’re interested in playing squash interclub during the Autumn rounds, come on down one evening and introduce yourself to our coach, Manu, and he will help get you into a team.
Autumn interclub starts in early March and runs for 5 weeks.

And of course, a very big thanks to the following organisations who give very generous support to the Club.
